hors cote ou non

Voici une des dernières mains du Day2A des WSOP 2009.

There were 25,000 chips already in the pot when the flop came down . Andrew Gaw led out for 27,000 and the button called. The turn came the and Gaw set the button all in. He made the call and turned up for a gutshot straight draw and a flush draw to Gaw's for two pair.

The river fell the ,
making the button a Broadway straight and Gaw (we're not kidding)
wailed in agony crying "Noo! Noooooo!!" as the pot was shipped the
other direction.

Nevertheless, he still has quite the mighty stack with 390,000 as Day 2a comes to a close.---

Le gars qui est sur les tirages, il est quand même bien hors cote ou c'est moi qui ne sait pas calculer ?

Lol, à partir du moment où il ouvre au pot, à moins de jouer un coin flip, il est hors cote.
S'il ne voit pas son adversaire exactement sur une double paire, alors il a 9 coeur + 4 valet (-1)
Ce qui fait seulement 12 cartes sur 47, donc aucune cote Sauf s'il voulait ljouer le coup autrement au turn et le tourner en bluff sur un board monocolore

Ce que je comprends c'est que Gaw tente par 2 fois de protéger sa main vu la board et l'autre l'a bien compris.

Mais pourquoi prendre un tel risque avec par exemple le : qui pouvait arriver à la river ?
